Attractions to see in Hong Kong Disneyland

Your first time outside the country is the most special among all of your other trips, because it's where the money you've saved up goes! And trust us -- that's a memory you'll want to keep in your heart for a long time.

If you're planning on going outside the country without the hassle of filing for a visa, then Hong Kong is the place to go. Once you've booked and you're already planning for your trip, then you should definitely include Hong Kong Disneyland in your itinerary! It definitely lives up to its name that it's the happiest place on Earth.

Wander with us as we go to the roots of our childhood -- Disneyland!

Here are some of the attractions you should definitely check out when you go to Disneyland! (In no particular order!)

1. Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad - Main Street Station

This will offer you a grand tour around Disneyland. It goes around the whole area and shows you a quick view of what's to see in Disneyland. Prepare the tissues, this could make you cry because this is when you'll realize that you're ACTUALLY in the happiest place on Earth!

2. "Festival of the Lion King"

This is one of the productions that will definitely make you go "wow!" This is a retelling of Simba's story featuring talented actors and our favourite characters from The Lion King -- Simba, Timon, and Pumba. You'll also get to see some of the animals from the jungle!

This production is amazing with all its colors and fire play on the stage, and what makes it better is that it's held at Theater in the Wild!

3. Tarzan's Treehouse

This gives you a tour of Tarzan's life -- from when he was a baby up to his life with Jane! It's perfect for that tree house photos you need for your travelogue, and you'll even get to ride the Rafts to and from the treehouse.

4. Jungle River Cruise

This is very close to Tarzan's Treehouse and it goes around it. It'll take you through the Rivers of Adventure where you'll see the wonders of the jungle! Plus, the tourguides make the trip even more realistic.

5. Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars

This is a sort of tame coaster where you'll ride on mine cars. This ride is good if you're not a fan of high falls because it's just fast and it'll take you on a trip of the Grizzly Mountain!

6. Mystic Manor

One of the best things in Disneyland would be the animatronics, and this attraction is a great way to showcase that.

Lord Henry Mystic and his pet monkey Albert will take you on a trip of their mystical mansion filled with art and antiquities. You'll be able to sit through this ride as they take you around their house.

7. "Mickey and the Wondrous Book"

This is a production in Disney's Storybook Theater which features some of our favourite Disney characters brought to life! During our trip in June, we got to see Mickey, Goofy, Olaf, and Disney princesses such as Rapunzel, Merida, Ariel, Tiana, and Elsa. You'll love this production because you'll get to hear the princesses sing live.

8. Hyperspace Mountain

Warning: don't ride this if you're pregnant or if you have a high risk of heart attack.

This ride brings you on an adventure in the middle of a Star Wars battle! It's super quick and you practically won't see anything but the lights of outer space. This gets really fast and though there's a minimal high drop, the effects can get really dizzying.

It's a bit scarier than Grizzly Mountain but if you're into something fast and thrilling, you'll actually enjoy this when it's done!

9. Heroic Experiences: "Iron Man Experience" and "Mission - Dimensions of Danger"

Who doesn't like Iron Man? Experience a tour of Stark Industries and soar over Hong Kong with Iron Man to battle the evil forces of Hydra!

Also, have you ever wondered what it's like going on a mission with the Avengers? This attraction will show you how. You'll even get to see Thor, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange, and a little cameo from Black Widow and Hawkeye.

10. Toy Story Land

Bring your childhood to life and see Toy Story characters way bigger than you! This area will surely make you reminisce all those times you've laughed and even cried to the Toy Story trilogy.

Also, the colours all around you will make for a good OOTD shot. 😉

11. Heroic Encounters: Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man

Meet some of your favourite Marvel heroes at different spots throughout the park!

12. Mickey's PhilharMagic

This attraction gives a whole new meaning to 4-D! Join Donald as he meets different Disney characters. This'll surely bring back the child in you as it goes back to basics on some Disney classics.

13. The parades: "Flights of Fantasy Parade", "Paint the Night Parade"; and the fireworks display "Disney in the Stars"

This is the part where you really have to bring out your tissues. Think of all your favourite Disney characters -- princesses, royalties, even those talking cars and toys and animals. This'll be really thrilling and overwhelming so you have to plan ahead by checking the schedule and the map for this.

These are just some of our favourite things about Hong Kong Disneyland, and probably the main reasons why you should add it to your itinerary if ever you're visiting. The overwhelming joy and tears you'll feel when you're at the happiest place on Earth will definitely make you feel a lot like living in the moment. 😉
