We loved the first season. We waited SO LONG for the second season to come out. And how fast did we consume the second one? Less than nine hours!
What did you love about the second season? Here's a couple of things of ours:
1. New characters!
Yes, we absolutely love the original gang - Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Joyce, Hopper, Nancy, Steve, Jonathan, and all of the others! But in this season, there's a new addition to the Party, and it's a girl named 'Max'! (AKA MADMAX.) We also met her stepbrother, Billy, who is awfully irritating but ya know, a good addition to the show. And if you look for photos and videos of him out of character, you might actually fall for Dacre Montgomery.
Also, there are new people at the Hawkins Lab. And Joyce Byers has got a boyfriend -- Bob "The Brain" Newby. (#JusticeForBob)
And let's not forget Eleven's "sister" -- Eight! Who else finds her power awesomazing? While Eleven moving things with her brain is awesome, Eight making you see things/illusions is also cool!
2. Our favourite kids whom we'd love to be friends with.
Okay, so we loved the kids back in the first season, but in this season get ready to see more of this awesomazing friendship! Get ready to laugh at their crazy antics that really show us why we'd love to be friends with them.

And it's such a treat that we finally see a lot of Will this season! Though he's got us stressed because of how he's connected to the Upside Down and The Mind Flayer, we loved seeing him with his friends.
3. Our OT3 -- Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan
Even from the first season, we were so torn over these three! Would you rather Nancy end up with Steve? Or with Jonathan?
There have been a couple of major changes in this season. Though we're nursing our hearts over Nancy breaking up with Steve and Steve accepting the fact that Nancy doesn't love him, we're stoked to see what the future brings for Nancy and Jonathan.
Will Nancy and Jonathan finally get together for real? Or was that just like a one time fling? Could Jonathan and Steve actually be friends in the future? Guess we'll have to wait and see!
4. Steve's major character development
I mean, come on. We've all had a crush on THE Steve Harrington in season 1, but we can admit he was a jerk. His total character development this season was probably the biggest surprise of all, and something we're very thankful for!
Him asking Nancy "You don't love me?" turned us into total mush and we were actually waiting for what'll happen then. Buuut starting the bit when Dustin asked him to drive him around to look for Dart? Man. That's the Steve Harrington we love and deserve!
From the jerk of season 1, he was suddenly the stressed soccer mom we'll love forever and ever. Protect this man at all costs.
And him driving Dustin to the dance was a big bonus! Those girls who rejected Dustin are gonna be in trouble if Mama Steve was there!

Did anyone else tear up at how Steve looked like when he saw Nancy at the Snow Ball?
Also, his hair. His perfect haaaaair. All thanks to the Farrah Fawcett Hairspray.
5. #JOPPER
Okay. This has been brewing since season 1, and we'll admit we thought it would be a thing on the second season. However, we're all still recovering from what happened to Bob Superhero Newby and we're just happy to see Joyce and Jim become even greater friends here!

We're also excited to see if this'll bloom into something more. See? Even David Harbour supports our ship!
6. Erica aka Lucas' sister
You'd be lying if this little girl didn't make you laugh once or twice or maybe a million times. She just absolutely knew what to say to roast Lucas!

7. Jim Hopper as a Dad
From the first season we saw a bit of Hopper's history. And in this season, we're glad to see the Dad side in him!

From when he kept Eggos for Eleven up to when he cleaned up a bunk for her, from him being the overprotective Dad up to when he finally has a birth certificate for Jane Hopper. Aaaahh we so love this man who deserves everything good in the world!
