Why you should book at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel

Only a few days left before Christmas! Have you already got your shopping down pat? Or are you still thinking of unique gifts for your special someone and your family? How about a mini getaway?
Sure, you may have already crossed out the plan of a mini getaway in your list. Considering the time and budget, maybe you would rather treat them for lunch or dinner buffet in nearby restaurants. But you know you also won't be able to stop browsing for affordable hotel accommodations and make that staycation gift come true!
On this blog post, we'll share with you what we felt about an eco-hotel in Metro Manila that might convince you to push through with your mini getaway gift idea for your family or special someone this season!
This eco-hotel that we were raving about is the COCOON BOUTIQUE HOTEL.
You might see this as you scroll around those travel fare aggregator websites or metasearch engines. However, you might ignore it because there are only few reviews and more well-known hotels to try. You might also see this as you search for 5 or 4 star hotels, but find it suspicious because it's not pricey. That's what we also thought, until we booked in and enjoyed its facilities!
Known as a practical and eco-friendly hotel in the neigbourhood, it's not the cheapest hotel in the Metro but it gives you a first class experience even with a limited budget. Trust us, we've been to the most expensive hotel in Makati and Pasay, their offerings are the same!

"We took our cue from Mother Nature herself and created our own standard of green luxury. Pleasurable serenity is replicated in the sleep and bath experience we offer our guests. Metamorphosis is made possible with in-hotel facilities where the body is refreshed (aesthetic clinic), rejuvenated (spa & salon), and nourished (specialty restaurants). And warmth and sunshine are mirrored in the smiles of our staff and their discreet way of attending to your every need.
This is luxury the way Mother Nature would have intended it."
What we thought about it?
THE EXPERIENCE IS SUPER NICE! Though the hotel is small, we really appreciated the interiors. The room we had is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Even though the hallways were a bit too dark (conserving energy for Mother Nature? ;)), the rooms were properly lit and they have quiet air-conditioning (which was a major plus!).

What we thought about it?

From linens to the little fridge and from cabinets to the bathtub all have consistent design, high-quality furnishings, and no cheap touches like visible electrical cords and dusty ceilings. There are also no unpleasant odors which certifies its cleanliness.
Before we could consider this as a luxury hotel, we checked the bathroom and its bathtub! It should be an upscale version of our dream bathroom.
Cocoon Boutique Hotel is also using eco-friendly materials for their complimentary toiletries. You can check out the labels if you visit!
Other hotel facilities you can enjoy are the exercise room, spa, restaurant, a mini bar, and the small swimming pool located at the building garret near the function rooms or meeting area.
Another reason why we recommend this is because of its accessibility. If your parents enjoy short trips, they will surely appreciate this gift!
The hotel can be found in a small corner of Scout Area in QC. The building is facing a residential street, which is strategically located near fast food chains and carinderias. You can actually just walk around to try restaurants in Tomas Morato and/or the Timog area.
If your family prefers dining out or if your special someone enjoys eating out in QC, this place is perfect for you, too. It's perfect for a staycation filled with food and sleep! 😉

The booking we made was a gift for a birthday celebrant. We were particular in making sure everything ran smoothly, so we also emailed them a request for a birthday note. Surprisingly, the response that came from their team was very quick and they even asked for a photo of the celebrant to make sure they'll feel special when they enter the room! This isn't an uncommon request for hotels, but we appreciate the responsiveness of their online representative in answering emails and requests.

Of course, we also experienced a few problems during our stay, such as the parking space. We mentioned in our email our need for a parking space (which they offered for free) but we think security wasn't advised right away. The welcoming drinks weren't served even though they mentioned it would be included in our room reservation. Still, our stay was overall good and comforting. The staff members are approachable and we got free foot massages.
We also had a yummy breakfast that's comprised of a buffet -- coffee, juice, bread, soup, and salad -- which made us super happy! 😋

But let's cut to the chase -- our booking costed Php3.5k for an overnight stay!
