When it comes to brunches with the squad, there's always that one place we keep coming back to no matter what. We can try and try different places, but there's one destination that never fails us - especially when we're not in the mood to try something new. For us, that place is Sunnies Cafe

Sunnies Cafe specializes in the different cravings you may experience - whether it'd be chicken plates, rice bowls, brunch platters, or even simple desserts and drinks! The place is also perfect for that pastel OOTD shot you've been wanting to change your social media avatars into.

So far, there are four branches all around the Metro.

Each branch has its own allure that you'll definitely want to try out! And of course, they're strategically placed all over the Metro so there's one branch that's rather close to you. You can learn more about their locations on their website

Besides the super aesthetically pleasing branches, their food is something you'll always miss after you try it the first time. Here are some of our top picks:
The Salmon Poke Quinoa is our ultimate Sunnies Cafe favourite, and something you should always order everytime you visit! This is perfect even for people who aren't big into salads. It has spicy raw salmon, avocado, quinoa, seaweed, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and a citrus ponzu dressing that's a perfect addition to the healthy mix. This is priced at P280 and something you can share with a friend or two.
Another top pick is the Sunnies Risotto which is made up of grana padano cheese risotto, crispy bacon, sous vide egg, caramelized onions, and homemade gravy. This is priced at P370. You can also share this with a friend, or it's something you can rely on if you're hungry and craving for some protein.
If you have a big appetite, what we recommend for you to try is the Sunnies Brunch Platter. It has a maple glazed bacon slab, sauteed shimeji with tomatoes, eggs, and sunnies taters. It's up to you how you want the eggs to be cooked, so it's the perfect dish to start up your day! This is priced at P310.
Craving for pasta? They've got you covered! Their Spicy Pomodoro is a linguini dish that comes with mixed seafood and crispy spicy calamari, white anchovies, and topped with lemon and parsley. It's worth P290 and perfect for your spicy pasta craving.
Sunnies Cafe is perfect because they can give you the brunch-craving you have whatever time of the day! Their Crispy Eggs Benny is another thing we love about the restaurant. It's made out of poached eggs, english muffin, crispy potato, red hollandaise, and you get to decide whether you want it with crispy bacon (P260) or norwegian smoked salmon (P360). At first glance, this looks like it won't be enough but it's actually packed with the yumminess you want!
Want rice? Their Pan-Seared Miso Salmon is another must try! This rice dish has miso glazed salmon and a simple salad that will definitely leave you satisfied. It's worth P420 and it gives you the balanced meal you need!
If you're craving for a basic breakfast dish, try their Chicken and Pancakes. It's a treat of bacon and thyme pancakes, sunny side up egg, country-style fried chicken - topped with maple syrup. This costs P280 and is perfect if you're bringing a kid with you to brunch! It's also perfectly enjoyable if you're craving for something simple but delicious!
For desserts, our favourite pick would be the Sunnies Funfetti! It's what you never knew you needed in an ice cream cake. It has creamy tres leches cake, whipped cream, salted caramel ice cream, and some birthday sprinkles on top. This delicious dessert is priced at P295 and definitely worth the cheat day you've been looking forward to all week.
You've also got to try their Sour Cream Apple Pie Ala Mode which is something you ought to go for if you're looking for a unique twist to the classic apple pie. It's a sour cream apple pie filled with streusel and vanilla ice cream, and is worth P250.
Our other favourites include the Pumpkin Puree, a soup perfect as an appetizer. It has grilled shrimps, crispy spicy squid bits, and crisp gruyere toast. It costs P150 and it's definitely worth it!

As for the milkshakes, some of our favourites would be the Salted Caramelsutra (which has salted caramel ice cream, crushed graham, whipped cream, and malted milk), Kimye (which has cookies and cream ice cream, nutella, crushed oreos, whipped cream, and malted milk), and the Matcha (which has green tea ice cream, matcha powder, rice krispies, whipped cream, and malted milk). All of their milkshakes are worth P190.

We know the other dishes and drinks are delicious, too, and we'll definitely try them out next time! All in all, an experience at Sunnies Cafe is something you'll want to keep doing over and over, and not just because of the food, but also because of the warm ambiance and the nice staff.

Some of the food are pricey but we assure you that they're worth it! Sunnies Cafe is perfect for that special date or that much-needed catch up with your BFFs, or even when you're just looking into de-stressing after a long and tiring workweek.

Be consistent and include these as part of your daily bread. Ask every member of your family (at least) to support you and do the same. Like a ripple effect, at least 5/10 ratio of people has a bigger impact than 2/10 ratio of saving mother earth.
