Here’s a list of things you can do when you’re sad. Some may take the sadness away, some may feel you temporarily okay. Because we believe that keeping busy makes the blues go away!
1. Drink coffee.
2. Read a book. Or reread your favourite book.
3. Watch your all-time favorite movie.
4. Call your Mom! Or Dad! Haha
5. Buy stuff. (Whatever you want, but not too much!)
6. Go out and walk outside.
7. Write a story, a paragraph, a sentence.
8. Listen to some music. It doesn’t matter what — it could be sad music, happy music — whatever you want!
9. Go to the cinema and see a fun movie alone.
10. Sleep. If it’s not enough, sleep some more!
11. Go to the beach. Stare at the waves. Go swimming!
12. Plan a day out with your friends and loved ones.
13. Tell a friend about what you’re feeling.
14. Cry it out. No judgement here. Just cry as hard as you want to! (It’s refreshing — trust us)
15. Go to that restaurant you’ve always wanted to try the food at. You can invite your friends, or you can go alone!
16. Scream into your pillow. And grab yourself a bag of chips.
17. Eat ice cream!
18. Take wacky and funny photos!
19. Compose a song, no matter how silly your lyrics are!
20. Browse online for the world’s cutest puppy photo! (or kitty!)
21. Try to cook ala Gordon Ramsay! But make sure it looks appetizing and Instagram-worthy.
22. Order your favorite fast-food and munch away!
23. Sing your heart out! Grab that karaoke mic and enter your favorite song.
24. Play your favorite song or playlist on loop (even though it’s sappy, as long as it makes you happy!)
25. Clean your car! Your Dad will surely be glad as well!
26. Count your money! Or plan your next budget allocation! (No utility bills involved!)
27. Drink up whether it’s just juice or beer! (Remember when a guy named his friend/confidante Sapporo? 😉)
28. Test your creativity! Start building your dream portfolio, CV, website, or blog. You’ll enjoy this because you’ll see a satisfying output after it.
29. Hug someone! But make sure you know each other okay!? We don’t want you to be in an awkward situation.
30. Wear ‘comfort’! Whether you wear your PJs all day or for a change, try to wear rubber shoes instead of heels, try to do ‘no makeup day!’ or.. or… there’s endless possibilities for this! Just consider your utmost comfort.
31. Backread messages from your favorite group chat or from your favorite person.
32. Date your Mom and Dad (Ask them to that expensive restaurant. Family dining out is fun, especially if you’re not the only one spending! But it feels good when you’re the one treating them!
33. Try stretching, brisk walking, running, jogging or other outdoor activities that will make you feel hyper! (Trust us, this is not only good for your heart and but it can help you clear your thoughts).
34. Pamper yourself or just imagine you’re Emma Stone singing “Pocketful of Sunshine” while doing your nails or imagine you’re Brad Pitt after shaving.
